Do you have any other info on your maca? Quality
control of where it is manufacturered? Is is
gelatinized? What is the dosing & how do you
recommend cycling the product?
Thanks....Lisa

Hello Lisa,
Our maca is grown in Peru by a collective of farmers
with small maca farms in the high Andes. At the
elevation between 13,000 and 15,000 feet, there are no
insects, the air and water is pure, and the farmers do
not use, nor could afford chemical fertilizers. (Maca
thrives on a very spare soil) Our maca is sun
dried, cleaned and then ground. In accordance with
Peruvian law ( maca is considered a national treasure
by the Peruvian government, and must pass purity
standards before leaving the country.) The Maca is
inspected at the University of Peru at Lima. It is
then again tested for bacteria and contamination by
U.S. customs when it enters the country in Miami. It
is then shipped to our packaging facility here in Las
Vegas. It is then tested again for purity, bacterial
content and any contamination by an approved lab.
Our maca is just the ground, raw, maca. There is no
fillers or any extenders in our maca. It is not
gelitinized.
Maca is a functional food. That means that
traditionally, it is used as a food in Peru. Soups,
puddings even liquour is made of Maca. Maca, in Peru,
is used as an adaptagen to overcome problems with
fertility with people and animals that occur
at high elevations. It is also used to promote
longevity, increase energy, and is used by people of
all ages. So, there is no "dose" it is not a
medicine, it is a food that helps your body to
function. Specifically, it helps us to adapt to the
stressors of modern life here in America. One of the
stressors that we may have is that our endocrine
system is out of balance. This can happen due to
the natural effects of aging, or environmental
factors. (The way we eat, think, feel and live.)
Maca does not contain hormones, so you would not need
to use maca in a cycle as you would with progesterone
cream or steroids. Maca works by nourishing the
endocrine system, and bringing about a better
communication in the endocrine system. It also has
been shown by recent studies, to cause the liver to
release an enzyme that encourages the pituitary gland
to produce human grown hormone.
I personally, use maca six days a week and rest one
day, just because I think that the body pays better
attention to any supplements if you let it rest once a
week.
Thank you for your interest in our Inca Gold Maca.
